Baltic Trust 26 — also written Baltic Trust 2026, abbreviated BATT26 — was an international counter-drone (counter-UAS) defence exercise held at the Sēlija range in southern Latvia in August 2026. Latvia's National Armed Forces (NBS/NAF) and the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) ran it jointly, with ~650 participants from Latvia, NATO allies and partners, explicitly including Ukraine, Australia and Japan. The daily issues call it defensive.

What was practised
Detection, classification and suppression of reconnaissance and strike drones were worked as one integrated task: joint cueing of radars, sensors, cameras and EW stations, with data exchange between UAV crews, air defence, EW teams and command posts. Radars, sensors, EW and interceptors were tested against "Shahed-like" UAVs, and interceptor drones were validated "in near-real conditions". The rationale given is the drone threat as a key lesson of the war in Ukraine.

Reports of the end date differ. Most issues give the main phase as 3–14 August and the conclusion on 14 August; the 17 August issue, citing LSM, puts the end of the active phase at 16 August while still giving the main phase as 3–14 August. They are never reconciled, and the "twelve-day" count fits 3–14 August, not a 16 August finish. The 24-country figure likewise appears only in retrospective issues from 28 August onward.
A claim of soldier deaths on 15–16 August was debunked. A fabricated story that "a Ukrainian serviceman shot three NATO soldiers" at Sēlija spread via an anonymous propaganda network and fake X accounts, citing a non-existent Euronews article. Latvia's armed forces and defence ministry called it a coordinated disinformation campaign; the fact-checker Lead Stories confirmed Euronews published no such material. It is recorded only as a debunked injection.
