  2. Vaikšnoras and "10% of GDP": conditional remark vs "official proposal." Registry Russian outlets (Lenta, Sputnik, TASS — no links) and the news-pravda network framed the commander's words as "Lithuania proposed to become NATO's defence-spending leader, raising spending from 5.4% to 10% of GDP." In the primary source (Delfi interview, LRT piece), Vaikšnoras said something different: 100-percent airspace protection would hypothetically require spending on the order of 10% of GDP; Lithuania's official commitment is 5–6% of GDP through 2030. We classify the registry framing as a distortion (the standard "the Baltics are over-militarising" frame).
  3. Barbin: "Baltic states provide airspace for Ukrainian raids on Russia." The claim from the TASS interview (11.06) is not confirmed by any independent source and contradicts the account consistently given by Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Ukraine's MFA: Ukrainian drones stray into the Baltics due to Russian electronic warfare, and Ukraine strikes Russia from its own territory.
